New construction of a fire / police facility in Hillsville, Virginia. Design plans call for the construction of a 10,000-square-foot fire / police facility.
As of April 27, 2023, a design team has been identified. A construction timeline has not been established yet. *The previous closed solicitation is listed below for reference. Carroll County has issued this sealed Request for Proposal (RFP) for the purpose of obtaining responsive proposals from qualified firms to provide Design and Engineering Services for Fire & Rescue Station 1 to be located in Hillsville, VA. The new facility will replace the existing facility with an approximately 10,000 sq. ft., 4-bay Fire & Rescue Station to be located on approximately 3.5 acres. Questions concerning this project must be in writing (e-mail is preferred) and addressed to crystal.adams@carrollcountyva.gov and should be received no later than five (5) business days preceding the date that the proposals are to be received. Email is the preferred method and will be a timelier response. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
