The Project is generally described asthe repairs or removal and replacement of metal panel roof assemblies at Medina Independent School District. Proposalsecurity in the form of a certified check or Proposal bond in the amount of five percent(5%) of the Base Proposal plus any additive alternatesis attached hereto, as a guaranty thatthe Offeror will unconditionally execute a satisfactory contract and furnish insurance specified in the Contract Documents. For projects above twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) the Offeror shall be capable of furnishing payment and performance bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum. The surety company providing the bonds must be approved for the amount of the bonds by applicable laws of the State of Texas and Medina ISD and licensed to do business in the State of Texas. Compliance with this requirement may be in the form of a notarized letter from the proposed bonding company confirming Offeror's ability to obtain the specified bonds or actual bonds until time of actual contract execution. TIME FOR COMPLETION (All WORK): Work shall commence no later than June 1, 2023 and shall be complete through Substantial Completion no later than September 1, 2023. Medina ISD reserves the right, as the interest of Medina ISD may require, to waive any irregularities, to accept and/or reject any and all proposals received. Medina ISD shall have the rightto reject all proposals,to reject a proposal not accompanied by the required security,to reject a proposal, which isin any way incomplete orirregular, or nonconforming or to reject a proposal which may otherwise be legally rejected for any reason.
