Site work and paving for a road / highway in Angola, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of the following: Roadway reconstruction of South John Street, South West Street and West Pleasant Street including asphalt roadway, curb and gutter, sidewalks and curb ramps. Maintenance of South Wayne Street with mill and replacement of asphalt. Bid packets should consist of the following information: 1. CONTRACTOR's Bid 2. Contractor's Bid for Public Work Form 96; 3. Employment Eligibility Verification; 4. Cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Angola in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of their maximum bid. Failure to submit the above documents with the bid may disqualify the bid. Upon award of the contract a payment bond will be required. Questions and inquiries should be directed to Street Commissioner Chad Ritter atc PROJECT LOCATION The project is a roadway reconstruction of South West Street from West Prospect Street to West Pleasant Street and West Pleasant Street from South West Street to South Elizabeth Street. Bond requirements for projects equal to or greater than $200,000: 1. Bid Bond - Contractor must provide a bid bond or certified check equal to five percent (5%) of the bid made payable to the Owner. All checks of unsuccessful bidders will be returned upon selection of the successful bidder. Checks of successful bidders will be held until delivery of the performance bond, if required. 2. Payment Bond - Contractor shall execute a payment bond to the Owner in an amount equal to the contract price. 3. Performance Bond - Contractor shall furnish a performance bond equal to the contract price. The surety on the performance bond will not be released until one (1) year after the date of the Owner's final settlement with the Contractor.
