GENERAL PROVISIONS AND REQUIREMENTS These Special Provisions amend orsupplement the City of Lincoln Standard Specificationsfor Municipal Construction, 2023 Edition and the City of Lincoln Supplemental Specifications and Standard Plans for Municipal Construction and other provisions of the Contract Documents asindicated herein. All provisionsthat are notso amended or supplemented via these special provisions remain in full force and effect. CONTRACT TIME, MILESTONES, AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGES The Contractor shall have a total of 105 calendar days to complete all work associated with this project. These days shall be divided up as follows. o 100 consecutive calendar days from the beginning of work date to achieve substantial completion ofthis project in 2023 o 5 consecutive calendar days to complete durable pavement markings in 2023 or 2024. All work along 48 th Street shall be substantially completed on or before October 31, 2023. Substantial Completion is defined as all Work complete and all lanes open to traffic, with the exception of durable pavement markings. The Contractor shall place Paint Markings if the Contractor is unable to place Durable Pavement Markings. Paint Markings placed in lieu of Durable Pavement Markings shall be maintained by the contractor until the point at which Durable Pavement Markings are placed. The warranty period forDurable Pavement Markings shall start at that point. Failure to meet the substantial completion date for work, completion ofseeding, or durable pavement markings shall result in liquidated damages to be assessed in accordance with the Lincoln Standard Specifications. CONSTRUCTION PHASING AND ACCESS The 48 th Street Rehabilitation Project shall be constructed as defined in these special provisions. The Contractor may close 48 th Street in segments until the Work is substantially completed; howeverlocal accessto businesses must be maintained.
