The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: This project will make building infrastructure improvements at the Thurston County Fairgrounds and Events Center. Base bid: Demolition of existing structures, foundations, asphalt driveways, and site preparation. Additive Alternate No. 1: Site improvements / civil and mechanical utilities. Install underground utilities and crushed rock base course. The Engineering Estimate for this project is to be $385,000 to $430,000. Pursuant to chapter 15.20 Thurston County Code, construction contracts above $1 Million are required to have 10% of the total labor hours as apprenticeship labor hours. Bidders may contact the Department of Labor and Industries, Apprenticeship Section, to obtain information on available apprenticeship programs. All Bids shall be accompanied by a bid security deposit in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five (5%) of the amount of such Bid. The bid award shall be made to the lowest responsible bidder. The Board of Thurston County Commissioners may reject any or all bids for good cause, and in particular to reject a bid not accompanied by any required bid security or data required by the Bidding Documents, or a bid in any way materially incomplete or irregular.
