Gunnison County applies magnesium chloride to Gunnison County roads to curtail dust and minimize road maintenance. Gunnison County anticipates purchasing 350,000 to 400,000 gallons of product. Gunnison County reserves the right to review and reject or accept any and all quotes based on specifications, price, and the best match to the needs of Gunnison County. Gunnison County will: 1) Establish the schedule for application. 2) Prep the roads for chloride using a blade and water truck. 3) Provide necessary signing and traffic control. 4) Gunnison County will be performing random on-site quality testing of the product. Minimum concentration levels of MgC12 shall be 27%. Any loads less than this level may be subject to rejection and/or reduced payment.
