President and Board of Trustees of the Village of River Grove, Illinois that bid proposals will be received for the following project: 2023 Thatcher Wood Sanitary Lift Station Replacement Project The improvements to be completed as part of this project are located within the area of the Thatcher Woods Shopping Center in River Grove. The scope of work includes the removal of the existing sanitary sewer lift station, providing and installing a new submersible pump duplex sanitary lift station and vault and standby generator. The work inclusive of the above items also includes all excavation, sheet piling and dewatering; coordination with Nicor and ComEd for the installation of service for the lift station and generator; all electrical and mechanical needed to install the pump station and generator; connection to a SCADA system for the monitoring of the pump station, removal and replacement of fenced enclosure and guardrail system, all temporary pumping to bypass the existing lift station, pavement restoration, and all other necessary work to properly complete this project in accordance with the specifications and bidding documents. All sealed bids received shall be clearly labeled "2023 Thatcher Wood Sanitary Lift Station Replacement Project". All bid proposals offered must be accompanied by a bid bond or a cashier's check or certified check, made payable to the Village of River Grove in an amount not less than Five Percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid, as a guarantee that if the bid proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance of the contract properly secured. No bid proposal shall be considered unless accompanied by such bid bond or check. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the Proposals without the consent of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of River Grove for a period of forty-five (45) days after the scheduled time of bid opening. The successful bidder for the work will be required to furnish sufficient insurance to the Village of River Grove and the Engineer against all damage claims that might arise due to the negligence of the Contractor and will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the amount of the contract. The Contractor and Subcontractors shall comply with all regulations issued pursuant to Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130), and other applicable Federal Laws and regulations pertaining to labor standards. The Village of River Grove reserves the rights to determine the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder, to waive technicalities and to reject any and all bids.
