Questions regarding the project should be directed to Kristina Suchyta 248-666-1020 suchytak@michigan.gov The Work to be completed under this contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment to complete the parking lot improvements as specified herein at the Teggerdine Equestrian Parking Lot, Pontiac Lake Recreation Area, Oakland County, Michigan 1.) Clear existing trees from the island in the project area located West of Teggerdine Road between Gale Road and Campground Road. Tree removal shall consist of removing trees in whole or chipping removed trees on-site and removing chipped debris off-site. 2.) Strip and remove excess topsoil in the island area to bring the area to grade. Remove excess topsoil off-site. 3.) Tree stumps shall be dug out and removed off-site or ground below grade. 4.) Widen the parking lot entrance by increasing the approach 20' to the south of the existing drive. Installation of a typical 12"circular, corrugated metal pipe (CMP) culvert with an end section will be required to widen the entrance. 5.) The contractor is responsible to submit the right-of-way permit to Oakland County to perform the entrance widening and installation of the proposed culvert in the county right-of-way. 6.) Deliver approximately 600 yards of asphalt millings and spread at a minimum thickness of 2 inches. 7.) Asphalt millings shall have particles no larger than 1 inch. 8.) Asphalt millings shall be compacted to a density of 92% to 98%. 9.) All disturbed areas shall be restored with screened topsoil, straw, and grass seed. 10.) Seed mixes shall be reviewed and approved by the owner prior to application.
