Reference No: 0000312321 Electrocoat finish is an immersion coating process in which charged coating particles are attracted to an oppositely charged metallic surface. As the coating is deposited, it forms an epoxy finish which begins to insulate the metal from the surrounding charged solution. Deposition continues until the coating thickness becomes sufficient to form a barrier against additional coating attraction. In this way the electrocoat finish builds at an extremely even rate with no runs or sags. The process is lead and chrome free and provides a cost effective coating to improve corrosion resistance without environmental impact RCOC reserves the right to award to more than one bidder, as it determines in its best interests.
