THIS PROJECT WILL APPLY MICRO-SURFACE, TYPE B SEAL COAT TO THE PORTIONS OF THE EXISTING RUNWAY 10-28 AT WAYNE COUNTY AIRPORT. PRIOR TO THE APPLICATION OF THE SEAL COAT, THE CONTRACTOR WILL SEAL JOINTS AND CRACKS GREATER THAN 1/4 INCH IN WIDTH. ONCE THE SEAL COAT HAS CURED, THE CONTRACTOR WILL PAINT AIRFIELD MARKINGS. he successful Bidder shall furnish separate performance and payment bonds each in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The bid guaranty of the successful Bidder will be returned upon successful execution of the Project Documents as specified herein if a cashier's check or 13 certified check is utilized. The return of the bid guaranty will not be required if a bid guaranty and contract bond is submitted CONTRACT AGREEMENT: In case a successful Bidder shall not within ten (10) calendar days after a notice of such acceptance perform his bid by entering into a written contract and within that time secure the performance of his contract with an acceptable performance bond; then his bid security and the proceeds thereof shall be and remain the absolute property of the Owner as liquidated damages, it being impossible to estimate the amount of damage such failure would occasion.
