The type and the scope of work will vary depending on the situation. The emergency repair work will require the Contractor to provide adequate equipment and staffing for emergency response to pipeline repairs in the event of system failures. The proposed work may include but not be limited to: replacing, repairing, removing, demolition and installation of underground and above ground piping systems of all types, on an as needed emergency and unexpected task basis. The typical piping systems throughout the District include, but are not limited to: CML&C, ACP & C900 piping ranging from 4” to 36” in diameter and related appurtenances. The work will generally include, but is not limited to: installing piping, trenching and backfilling of buried pipe systems, temporary traffic control, repairing and replacing valves, corrosion, coating, lining, bypass piping, bypass pumping, drainage, related appurtenances and other items of work needed to construct, repair, or replace a fully functioning piping system. The District is soliciting proposals to establish a one-year, time and materials contract, with the option to renew up to four (4) additional one-year terms for On-Call Emergency Pipeline Repairs. The repairs will be performed on an as-needed basis. Contractors will be required to provide payment and performance bonds for this project in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the assigned project cost for all assigned projects over $25,000
