The Jacksonville International Airport Cargo Buildings 1 & 2 Power Renovation shall include new primary service (4160V) extended from the utility switch on Cole Flyer Road to service locations in each building. New primary electrical ductbanks shall be installed by directional bore routed through new precast concrete electrical manholes. New utility transformers shall be installed at service locations with 208/120V/3 phase secondary serving main distribution panels. Tenant panels and feeders shall be replaced. New branch circuit tenant panels shall be provided with digital metering to allow the Authority to record tenant energy usage. The Cargo Buildings shall be kept in operation during the installation of the new electrical services. Switchover to new power distribution systems shall be accomplished after hours or by scheduled service interruption. Electrical room lighting shall be replaced with new LED fixtures and controls. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the base bid will be required to accompany bids. Contract Bonding shall also be required. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in bidding. The Authority has determined that NO SBE participation goals will be prescribed for this project. As a good corporate citizen JAA fully supports the usage of SBE/DBE on JAA projects. We encourage our business partners to maximize the utilization of SBE/DBEs at every opportunity. This project will be bid as a single contract. Bid prices may be held for up to 90 days.
