Renovation and addition to an educational facility in West Lafayette, Indiana. Completed plans call for the addition of a 114,000-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; and for the renovation of a educational facility.

Patterson Horth will be accepting bids for (18) prime packages for additions and renovations to Klondike Elementary School. Scope includes a 2 level, 77,000 SF classroom addition, 3,000 SF kitchen addition, and heavy sitework for the entire Klondike Elem and future Klondike Intermediate School area. 1. This project consists of additions and renovations to Klondike Elementary School, including sitework for the total site, including area adjacent to the existing Klondike Middle School, in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by CSO Architects, Inc. 2. Work for the complete construction of the project will be under multiple prime subcontracts, contracted under the Construction Manager as Contractor. The Construction Manager as Contractor will be Patterson Horth, Inc. The Construction Manager as Contractor will be referred to as Construction Manager throughout these Specifications. Request for interpretation for this Project shall be directed to the Construction Manager. The first addition is a 2-story, approximately 87,000 SF classroom addition. The second addition is a new kitchen / kitchen support area totaling approximately 3,000 SF. There is approximately 33,000 SF of areas to be renovated in the existing core areas. Once the classroom addition is complete, there will be approximately 85,000 SF of the existing school building that will be demolished. A new parking lot will be built in this old building footprint area. Major storm, sanitary, and water utility scopes of work in this project. The work will be required to be phased, in order to keep the existing school running at full capacity.
