Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sycamore, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.
o Horizontal Directional Drilled Water Main (8" and 10"). o Water Service Connections / Lead Service Replacement. o Valves, Vaults, Frames, Lids and Appurtenances. o Testing and Chlorination of New Water Main. o Abandon Existing Water Main. o Turf, Pavement, Curb & Gutter, Sidewalk, Etc. Replace- Ment. o Other Work as Described Within the Plans and Specifi- Cations. Questions Should Be Directed to Bids@cityofsycamore.com Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond, Bank Draft, Cashier's Check or Certified Check Payable to the Order of the City of Sycamore, Illinois in an Amount Not Less Than Ten (10) Percent of the Amount of the Bid, as a Guaranty That the Bidder Will Execute the Contract, if It is Awarded, in Conformity With the Bid Form. B. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Furnish Performance and Payment Bonds on Forms Provided in the Specifications and Contract Documents, in an Amount Equal to 110 Percent and 100 Percent of the Contract Sum, Respectively. 1.5 Wage Rates a. The Contractor Shall Pay Prevailing Wages in Accordance With the Prevailing Wage Act, 820 Ilcs 130/0.01. 1.6 Rejection of Bids a. The Owner Expressly Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids or to Accept the One, Which Appears to Be in the Best Interest of the Owner. The Owner Expressly Reserves the Right to Waive Any Informalities or Technical Irregularities in a Bid if to Do So is in the Best Interest of the Owner. Work of this proposed Contract comprises replacing 3,432 feet of water main along DeKalb Ave, Sacramento St., and Elm St.; and all other appurtenant work and materials necessary to complete the project as specified.
