The City of Lafayette desires to develop a demonstration garden at one of Lafayette's Fire Station to transform the high-water use landscapes into more resilient, water-wise Xeriscapes. The new landscape will be a demonstration garden designed to show how to design lawns using Resource Central Garden-in-a-Box programs, educate on best practices to fireproof lawns, and how pollinator plants help conserve our local biodiversity. It is the goal of the City to create a garden that is designed to optimize education and maximize water savings. This will be one of the largest demonstration gardens in Colorado.
