The scope, in general, involves expansion and remodel of the existing Inmate holding area located in the basement of the Justice Center. Expansion will add 643 sqft. to the existing space requiring removal and construction of non-load bearing walls, upgrades to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and alterations to concrete flatwork in the parking garage. An additional trench drain in garage connects to a new oil/sand interceptor that connects to a sump with a sewage ejector. Subcontracts needed, to work in coordination with BCBS staff, to successfully complete this scope include: Demolition (Concrete & CMU), Masonry, Concrete, Fire Sprinkler, Mechanical, Plumbing, Detention Hollow Metal & Hardware, Glazing, and Acoustical Ceilings & Paneling.
