EVMWD owns and operates a potable water system which currently includes forty-one (41) pressure zones containing seventy-three (73) storage reservoirs with an approximate total storage capacity of ninety-three (93) million gallons. In 2020, a comprehensive Reservoir Condition Assessment was performed to identify structural, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and controls improvements necessary to extend the useful life of seven (7) reservoirs and provide increased operational reliability. The assessment included the following field inspections: cathodic protection and hazardous material testing, drained reservoir inspections, and reservoir float inspections. The results of the assessment identified Rice Canyon and Ortega as the highest priority reservoirs. Consultant shall refer to the final Reservoir Condition Assessment Final Report for further information. EVMWD is soliciting proposals for engineering and design services to develop separate construction documents (plans and specifications) to fully rehabilitate or replace the reservoirs as well as ancillary work and/or additional related professional services, as needed. The work will also consist of developing the record drawings for each reservoir.
