The estimated budget for the project is $1M The California Code of Regulations (CCR) requires public water systems to protect their water supplies through the use of backflow prevention devices. The Project proposes to upgrade existing belowground fire services to aboveground in order to comply with current EVMWD and California Division of Drinking Water standards. The design was completed in October 2017. These sites were divided into four phases. Three phases have been completed to date and involved a total of 62 services. Phase 4 (FY2023) consists of the replacement of single check backflow devices in 29 locations within the boundaries of the Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District. These will be replaced with reduced pressure principal backflow preventers or double detector check assemblies ranging in size from 4-inch to 12-inch, as identified on the construction plans. Construction will include but is not limited to the demolition/removal of existing vaults, installation of new above grade backflow devices with associated piping appurtenances, and installation of concrete pad and bollards per the Contract Documents. questions must be received in writing by 10:00 a.m. local time on Monday, April 10, 2023.
