The Town of Stafford, Connecticut is seeking sealed bids for furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment required for the Replacement of Westford Avenue Bridge Over Baker Brook (Bridge No. 134007). Each Bidder must deposit with his/her bid a certified check, or a bid bond, for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid as provided in the Information for Bidders. THIS CONTRACT IS SUBJECT TO STATE SET-ASIDE AND CONTRACT COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS The attention of the Bidders is called to the requirement for minimum wage rates to be paid under this Contract. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, to award any item, group of items, or total bid and to waive any informality or technical defects, if it is deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Stafford. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within one hundred twenty (120) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. CONTRACTORS that find discrepancies and/or errors in or between plans, specifications, quantities and other matters, must immediately notify Devin Cowperthwaite, Director of Public Works, 1 Main Street, Stafford, CT 06076 or at publicworks@Stafford.org in writing not less than ten days before the scheduled bid opening.
