Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in an amount of 100% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid Putnam County Commissioners and the Village of Columbus Grove, Ohio or by certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the aforesaid Putnam County Commissioners and the Village of Columbus Grove, Ohio. Bid Bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. The scope of work to be performed consists of roadway resurfacing, curb removal and replacement, sidewalk, curb ramps and curb inlets and necessary appurtenances Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in this bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Provisions and Davis-Bacon Wages, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price. The successful bidder will be required to pay not less than the highest applicable minimum wage rates as established by the Department of Industrial Relations of the State of Ohio and the federal Davis-Bacon Wage Determinations issued by the U.S. Department of Labor No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Putnam County Commissioners and the Village of Columbus Grove, Ohio reserve the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. This project is being partially funded with Federal CDBG, and OPWC funds. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than October 31, 2023. The opinion of the probable cost of construction is $490.000.00.
