The work under this item shall conform to the relevant provisions of Section 140.60 of the Standard Specifications and the following: The work under this item shall include all work and dewatering necessary to control water during the concrete excavation and repairs to the existing bridge structure. Brook water shall be diverted and controlled in such a way that all concrete repairs are constructed completely in the dry. The operations of Control of Water neither shall cause the accumulation of siltation nor any adverse effect to the water or the environment. The Town of Webster is seeking sealed bids from contractors prequalified with MassDOT for class of work as Bridge-Culverts. The construction project involves traffic safety improvements and concrete repairs to the Sutton Road Bridge that spans Sucker Brook in Webster, Massachusetts. Detailed traffic safety work includes pavement resurfacing, curb installation, replacement of non-compliant guardrail with TL-2 guardrail, end treatments, transitions, thrie beam bridge rail and other incidental work. Concrete repairs are proposed to the existing substructure which requires the implementation of temporary cofferdams to construct the concrete repairs in dry conditions.
