As of May 11, 2023, project was awarded to DA COLLINS CONSTRUCTION CO INC., awarded amount is $3,472,972.10. FA Proj Y001-1811-273, Albany, Rensselaer Cos., OVERHEAD SIGN STRUCTURE REPLACEMENTS - I-87, I-90 & I-787, City of Albany & Town of Schodack., Bid Deposit: 5% of Bid (~ $125,000.00), This project will replace existing aluminum overhead sign structures (OSS) on the Interstate system or adjacent to an Interstate interchange with new steel overhead sign structures. New overheadmsign structures will be installed in locations where existing overhead sign structures had been previously removed. Every bid must be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check or bank cashier's check payable to the NYS Department of Transportation, in the sum of the amount shown on the proposal title page. Bonds must be on form CONR 391. Electronic bids must include electronic bonds. Amendments may have been issued prior to your placement on the Planholders list. NYS Finance Law restricts communication with NYSDOT on procurements and contact can only be made with designated persons. Contact with non-designated persons or other involved Agencies will be considered a serious matter and may result in disqualification. Project related technical questions or comments must be submitted through the Construction Contracting section of the Business Center on the NYSDOT website at: www.dot.ny.gov/doing-business/opportunities/const-notices. Contract administration or procurement questions may either be submitted through the website or directed to Robert Kitchen (518)457-2124. or the Assistant Director/Director of the Office of Contract Management, (518)457-2124. Contracts with 0% Goals are generally single operation contracts, where subcontracting is not expected, and may present direct bidding opportunities for Small Business Firms, including, but not limited to D/M/WBE and SDVOB. The Department's Civil Rights reporting software is EBO (the Equitable Business Opportunity Solution). To be in compliance with the contract requirements for NYS Civil Rights reporting, it is recommended that all Bidders and subcontractors have an active EBO account. The New York State Department of Transportation, in accordance with the Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally-assisted programs of the Department of Transportation and Title 23 Code of Federal Regulations, Part 200, Title IV Program and Related Statutes, as amended, issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all who respond to a written Department solicitation, request for proposal or invitation for bid that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability/handicap and income status in consideration for an award. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No The original aluminum overhead sign structures are still in place. This project will replace the existing aluminum overhead sign structures SIN 11048, 11038, 11052, 11092, 11120 and 11124 with steel overhead sign structures that meet current standards. Design will coordinate with Region One - Traffic on the final location of the structures. SIN 11058, 11053, 11117, 11144, 11116 and 14003 will be removed. Ground mounted signs will replace the signs on SIN 11058, 11053, 11144 and 14003. SIN 11117 will be replaced by a sign pole attached to the bridge. SIN 11116 will be replaced by a cantilever sign structure. A sign on SIN 11047 will be replaced but the structure will remain. MBE (3.2%), WBE (6.9%), DBE (6%)
