If customer is declared non-responsive by Louisville Water the contractor shall issue a credit for this work. A supplemental unit cost field for this item has been provided as part of this bid. If a customer is declared non-responsive a change order will be issued for the amount of the agreed upon supplemental unit cost to be credited to Louisville Water. Obtain plumbing permit (Contractor responsible for all permit costs) Contractor responsible for BUD locates Preconstruction pictures (paving, landscaping, etc.) Replacement limits for service line are from the Louisville Water tailpiece to the customers main shutoff valve, inside the structure. Contractor to select alignment for new service line and point of entry to the structure, this may differ from the existing alignment Contractor to select method of installation New shut off valve will be same location as the existing shut off valve New service line length shall not be greater than+/- 20% of the existing service line length. Contractor to inspect tailpiece material in the vault and at point of connection. If material is found to be not copper the tailpiece shall be replaced with copper.
