Site work, paving, new construction and renovation of a mixed-use development in Chesterton, Indiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

NICTD is not responsible for proposals that failed to upload prior to the submission deadline. Proposals must set forth full, accurate and complete information as required by the instructions in the proposal package. Failure to do so may result in rejection of a proposal. No proposals can be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the proposals are opened. This proposal opening is not open to the public. All questions must be submitted no later than 3:00 pm on Monday, February 27, 2023. Questions submitted after that time and date will not receive a response. The District expects to award this agreement on or after Monday, March 27, 2023. The project work includes the following: 1. Track reconfiguration and/or realignment, including new catenary structures and traction power layout. 2. Civil site work, erosion control and underground utility and drainage work. 3. Relocation or protection of all existing utilities and adjacent structures and facilities. 4. Demolition of existing Van Buren Station, platform, roof plan, tunnel, and stairs as required. 5. Demolition of Jackson Drive and Lower Station Plan Level - Van Buren Station. 6. Construct new platform foundations, platforms, decking, tunnel, stair, vestibule, and curtain wall system - Van Buren Station. 7. Construct new platform foundations, platforms, decking and crash walls - Millennium Station. 8. Construct new Canopy System and supports for Van Buren Station Platform. 9. Construct head house, elevator, stairs, utilities, warming shelters, lighting, and voice of Metra, security monitoring and related mechanical, electrical and plumbing - Van Buren Station. 10. Construct curbs, pavements, sidewalks, storm drainage systems, fencing and landscaping 11. Provide new lighting, life safety, signage and VOM components as may be required - Both Stations. 12. Construct Catenary Support foundations and Catenary Support structures. 13. Remove, relocate and construct new signals associated with track reconfiguration/realignment. 14. Metra Force Account Work associated with temporary track crossings, catenary wiring, track work, VOM, signals and other communication work activities.
