Renovation of a municipal facility in Hempstead, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 14,423-square-foot municipal facility.
SEDALCO, as Design/Build Contractor for Waller County, TX, is soliciting trade proposals to convert this recently purchased restaurant property into a swing space. This work will include selective demolition, misc. metals/railings, millwork/counters, storefronts/glazing, plaster, metal stud framing, drywall and acoustical ceilings, LVT flooring, painting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical/lighting, fire alarm, exterior drainage improvements (landscape drains), and parking lot re-striping/signage (overlay of existing paving will be done by Waller County). Once converted, the swing space will serve as temporary administrative and courtroom space for the county while the existing courthouse is demolished and replaced by a new courthouse facility. The courthouse design is expected to finish up in April 2023 and SEDALCO will solicit proposals for that project in May 2023.
