Herscher CUSD 2, Owner of this project, is receiving sealed bids from interested suppliers for Level 3 Electric Bus Charging Stations. The Construction Manager for this project is Johnson Downs Construction Company, Inc. The Architect for this project is Healy, Bender, Patton & Been, Architects. This contract calls for the construction of a "public work", within the meaning of the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act 820 ILCS 130/.01 et seq. ("the act"). The Act requires contractors and subcontractors to pay laborers, workers and mechanics performing services on public works projects no less than the "prevailing rate of wages" (hourly cash wages plus fringe benefits) in the county where the work is being performed. For information regarding current prevailing wage rates, please refer to the Illinois Department of Labor's electronically. All contractors and subcontractors rendering services under this contract must comply with all requirements of the Act, including but not limited to, all wage, notice and record keeping duties. Herscher CUSD 2 reserves the right to reject any or all bids. This invitation is issued in the name of HERSCHER CUSD 2. All information submitted as part of this process shall be considered public information under the State Freedom of Information Act unless specifically disclosed on the applicable information by Bidder. Challenges to such exemptions shall be defended solely by the Bidder. All Bids shall be submitted without modification or reservation on Bid Package Forms, with each space properly filled.
