The project includes the following approximate amounts: roadway surface milling (23,586 SY), bituminous binder course (2,594 T), bituminous wearing course (1,297 T). Work shall be completed no later than August 30, 2023. A certified check or bank draft, payable to City of Franklin, or a bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid shall be submitted with the bid. One hundred percent (100%) performance and payment bonds will be required after contract award. All relevant federal requirements - including prevailing wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring, and MBE/WBE/Section 3 participation - apply to this project and minority and women owned businesses are afforded full opportunity to bid. Bidders must submit a non-collusion affidavit with their bids and provide evidence of MBE/WBE/Section 3 firms who have been contacted and to whom commitments have been made. The City of Franklin reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the bid as is most advantageous to the City. Bids may be held for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and bidders.
