ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST Between $100,000 - $500,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. All Bidders are encouraged to attend the On-Site Visit and Pre-Bid Conference. Major sub-bidders are also encouraged to attend. A bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the total amount of the base bid will be required (cash, personal or business checks are unacceptable). The successful Contractor shall be required to furnish 100 percent performance and payment bonds. The Anchorage School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities in bidding procedures. Mail: Purchasing Department 4919 Van Buren Street Anchorage, Alaska 99517 4. Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. General Description: Building wide patch and paint, extensive in some areas, minor in others. Localized floor tile replacement, sporadic ACT replacement, mechanical spring isolator replacement, interior & exterior masonry repair. Exterior brick painting. B. Construction: Certain production functions or other occupancy of the facility will occur during summer construction. Summer class will be in session and these activities take precedence over construction. The class schedule is May 30- June 25, 2023, M-F 0800 -1500hrs. The actual areas of the building for class use have not yet been determined. If possible ASD administration will attempt to isolate class use to discrete sections of the building, opening unused sections for construction. The work in the main hallways in occupied classroom areas cannot commence until June 26, 2023, or will occur after class recess Control of all airborne dusts is mandatory. Cleanup is required after each work shift. The contractor shall coordinate with the users to accomplish the effort. Signage for areas of construction such as 'wet paint', 'do not enter', and 'use other door' etc. shall be required. It is anticipated that the contractor shall be providing a schedule that begins as the classroom schedule ends, Monday through Fridays, or confine the construction to an area not used for classroom instruction. Any schedule is acceptable to CP&C as long as it does not interfere with the class schedule, or is mutually agreed to work conjointly with KTHS administration. Coordination with KTHS admin may allow other opportunities to work in areas during scheduled class time. Moving of any furniture or fixtures to accomplish the work is solely the contractor's responsibility. Computers and desktop electronics are managed by ASD IT only. If the contractor requires any electronics to be moved to accommodate the work advanced notice to ASD PM is required. There is a mandatory 'no smoking' policy on ASD campus grounds that will be rigidly enforced. This project has a 'zero tolerance' level for smoking on school grounds. Corridors and stairwells have variations in elevations. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to bid and make their independent evaluations.
