Site work and paving for a road / highway in Independence, Missouri. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The City of Independence, Municipal Services Department, requests proposals from qualified consulting engineering firms to perform a traffic study, prepare conceptual plans, preliminary engineering plans, right-of-way plans, legal descriptions & exhibits, final plans, bid documents, and provide construction engineering services for the Noland Road Multimodel Corridor. As of December 12, 2023, per owner a design team has been selected. Project has not started yet, they are still negotiating scope and fee, and will be getting into the design contract in couple months. The timeline is not fully developed yet; it will be updated once they sign the design contract. Per owner, the plans, specifications, and estimates (PSE) package is planned to be completed by April 2026 with a fund obligation date towards end of June 2026. The bidding phase should follow and is planned to be completed by September 2026. In terms of construction, the construction phase is scheduled to be delivered over three years (Sep 2026 to Sep 2028).
