The Bids shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope marked with the Project title (and, if applicable, the designated portion of the Project for which the Bid is submitted), the name and address of Bidder and shall be accompanied by the Bid security and all of the documents required by Section 14.01 of the Instructions to Bidders. If a Bid is sent by mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the Bid shall be enclosed in a separate envelope plainly marked on the outside with the notation "BID ENCLOSED" on the face of it. Bids are solicited under a general construction contract for furnishing and installing the following items with related appurtenances in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications entitled "Water Treatment Plant - Outside Bulk Chemical Storage Tanks". This project is to provide additional space to store aluminum sulfate (alum) solution on-site for use as a coagulant in the water treatment process. Tenders are invited for the work consisting of furnishing all materials, labor, and equipment required to: o Install two (2) outside bulk storage tanks. o Install a concrete pad for the two (2) outside bulk storage tanks. o Install a filling station. o Install two (2) chemical transfer pumps, inside an outdoor enclosure. o Install piping from the storage tanks to the existing day tanks in the coagulant storage room. o Install all electrical work. o Modifications to the instrumentation and control system.
