Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Dunwoody, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

As of September 7 2023, this project is in construction. The City of Dunwoody is seeking to add sidewalk to the southern side of Dunwoody Club Drive from Mill Shire Lane to Ball Mill Road. The selected design engineering firm shall develop one concept level layout with approximate construction limits and right of way or easement requirements using the City's latest Geographic Information System (GIS) data. In addition to the concept layout on aerial imagery, a detailed cost estimate shall be provided utilizing Georgia Department of Transportation's (GDOT) Pay Item Index. Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Finance, Purchasing, City Manager, Human Resources, Information Technology, Community Development, Communications, Police, Economic Development, Courts Conceptual Design for Sidewalk along the South Side of Dunwoody Club Drive from Mill Shire Lane to Ball Mill Road Dunwoody's typical section for sidewalks generally consists of a 2-foot minimum width landscape buffer, with 4-foot preferred and a 6-foot concrete sidewalk. Due to physical constraints such as right of way, private landscaping, utility poles, trees, etc - this typical section may be adjusted in order to minimize impacts to adjacent properties. GIS Data will be provided to the selected consultant. This data includes, but not limited to, roadway centerlines, aerial imagery, topography, property lines, and existing stormwater infrastructure. Other items may be digitized to the best of the consultant's ability include existing fencing and utility poles. Through this section, the corridor a limited closed drainage network exists to capture roadway runoff. The proposed/upgraded drainage network will need to be sketched in for informational and cost estimating purposes only, but the consultant shall plan on placing outfalls at logical positionsthroughout the corridor. Please include a project kick off meeting with City staff in your quote as well asintermediate deliverables at the 30% and 80% development stage to allow City staff to review and comment. The City is seeking a 60-day project schedule. These 60 days would commence at notice to proceed. Final deliverables to include a concept plan on aerial and project cost estimate (construction cost line items referencing GDOT Pay Items, approximate area for right of way and easements, stream mitigations, etc). The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
