Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Dunwoody, Georgia. Design plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

As of August 30, 2023, a design team has been selected. Public Works, Parks & Recreation, Finance, Purchasing, City Manager, Human Resources, Information Technology, Community Development, Communications, Police, Economic Development, Courts Conceptual Design of New Sidewalk at Multiple (3) Locations Throughout Dunwoody. Along the frontage of 53, 47, and 41 Perimeter Center East. . Along the southern side of Womack Road from Cambridge Drive to Vermack Road. Along the western side of Chamblee Dunwoody Road from Oakpointe Place to Spalding Drive. The city's typical section generally consists of a 2-foot minimum width landscape buffer, with 4 feet preferred and a 6-foot wide concrete sidewalk. Due to physical constraints such as right of way, private landscaping, utility poles, trees, etc - this typical section may be adjusted in order to minimize impacts to adjacent properties. Through this section, the corridor does contain a closed drainage network to capture roadway runoff. The proposed network should reuse as many of the existing inlets as possible, but additional inlets may be required. The selected design engineering firm shall develop one concept level layout for each of the above mentioned locations with approximate limits and right of way or easement requirements using the City's latest Geographic Information System (GIS) data as well as a detailed cost estimate utilizing Georgia Department of Transportation's (GDOT) Pay Item Index. GIS Data will be provided to the selected consultant. This data includes, but not limited to, roadway centerlines, aerial imagery, topography, property lines, and existing stormwater infrastructure. Other items may be digitized into the best of the consultant's ability include existing fencing and utility poles. The City would like to limit right of way and easement acquisition for this project; however, understands there could be a need for it. As such, the concept plan should include the use of gravity retaining walls where feasible to minimize right of way impacts. The concept plan should also identify potential areas for right of way and easement purchases. Please include a project kick off meeting with City staff in your quote as well asintermediate deliverables at the 30% and 80% development stage to allow City staff to review and comment. The City is seeking a 60 day project schedule. These 60 days would commence at notice to proceed. Final deliverables to include a concept plan on aerial and project cost estimate (construction cost line items referencing GDOT Pay Items, approximate area for right of way and easements, stream mitigations, etc) The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
