Job No. D-99-049-20, I-57 from Westminster Drive in Marion to I-24, Phase II Project, Williamson County, Region Five/District Nine. This project requires 25% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant who is selected for this project and all Subconsultants the Prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on April 26, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Region Five/District Nine Office in Carbondale. Phase II Engineering Services are required to perform work associated with the addition of one lane in each direction on I-57 from Westminster Drive in Marion to I-24 in Williamson County. Work consists of an additional 12' lane in each direction, a 12' inside shoulder in each direction, a high tension median cable barrier along one shoulder, and raise inlets and median ditch profiles to provide a 6:1 foreslope. Work also includes designing a closed drainage system and extending the median barrier wall for approximately 700' to the south at Westminster Drive. Phase II Services are expected to include preparation of contract plans, quantities, specifications, and cost estimates. Included will be roadway plans, typical sections, drainage plans, erosion control plans, pavement marking plans, cross sections, detailed staging plans and special details. Phase II will also include any ongoing environmental coordination as needed. The completion date for this contract will be 12 months after authorization to proceed. The Prime firm must be prequalified in the Highways (Freeways) category to be considered for this project.
