Lindon City Cemetery Maintenance Building Construction. This project will construct a new maintenance building at the Lindon City Cemetery. Building will be concrete and CMU construction. Building will include garage area for trucks and equipment, a meeting room/office, public restrooms, and covered materials storage. Construction will occur at the cemetery so special care will need to be taken to ensure that there is no disturbance of cemetery grounds and utmost respect given to cemetery patrons and adjacent residents. It is the intention of the Owner to have this project completed as rapidly as possible, once a Notice to Proceed is issued to the contractor. To that end, the Owner will expect the contractor to adhere to the proposed number of calendar days proposed on the Bid Proposal From. As discussed in 2.8.2, days may need to be added to the project timeline due to burials interrupting project. These days will be taken into account. Other factors that may affect the project schedule would be the observance of the Memorial Day holiday. Memorial Day will be observed on May 29. 2023. In order to allow patrons to be able to observe that holiday without being disturbed by building construction at the cemetery, no work on the project will be allowed from May 26, 2023 to May 30, 2023. It will be suggested that the contractor remove their dumpster from the cemetery during those days to avoid the dumpster being filled by cemetery patrons. New construction shall connect and flow seamlessly into existing areas. b. New construction will connect seamlessly with existing utilities, or new utilities will exist and work in a manner that does not disrupt existing structures and services. c. Building will be constructed as per plans created by Dain and Associates (Attachment A) b. Construction of the building will follow all guidelines set forth in RFB 2023-050. c. Construction will follow all elements discussed in the Pre-bid meeting and any resulting addenda or amendments to the plans or RFB 2023-050. d. Construction of building will meet or exceed all current local, State, and National building codes e. Building will be built in a professional manner using all current policies and practices related to all trades involved in the project. 3.2.2 Preservation of existing site and elements of the cemetery. a.
