The Project consists of improving the bank at the Carolina Beach Lake by utilizing dredged material from the eastern portion of the Lake. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Small and/or MWBE Firms are encouraged to submit bids. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders Description: A. Work of the Project Includes: 1. Mobilization and demobilization. 2. Installation, maintenance, and removal of erosion control devices. 3. Removal of visible buried debris in the lake shore. 4. Installation, maintenance, and removal of turbidity curtains. 5. Removal of wooden groins and debris at western end of lake. 6. Removal of mesh material at pedestrian bridge. 7. Temporary stabilization of disturbed areas. 8. Means for maintaining public access to the walking path, including temporary bypasses, if required. 9. Sufficient watering of vegetation until established and accepted by Owner. 10. Dredging lake for bank stabilization material and reshaping lake bottom to provide uniform depth. 11. Setup and installation of bank stabilization material. 12. Removal and reinstallation of rip-rap sediment traps. 13. Installation of rip-rap where designated. 14. Legal removal and disposal of excess or removed material. 15. Coordination with Owner to coordinate planting native vegetation at the lake shore. Bid Deadline: Mar 23, 2023 Start Date: Apr 1, 2023
