Contractor agrees to provide Water Sampling, Bacteria Testing Services, and Minor System Maintenance for the Sodium Hypochlorite Water Treatment System to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), as described herein: Contractor shall provide all labour, tools, testing equipment, materials and incidentals necessary, including travel, to and from the work location to perform required work on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis. Contractor shall also provide all labour, tools, materials, equipment and incidentals necessary to provide minor repairs as needed to the sodium hypochlorite injection and water treatment system at the Francis B. Mathews Safety Roadside Rest Area (SRRA) (also known as the Salyer Safety Roadside Rest Area), in Trinity County. The services shall be performed at the Francis B. Mathews SRRA (also known as the Slayer SRRA) located on Route 299 in Trinity County just east of the Trinity River Bridge (bridge number 5-82) at Post Mile 3.6. This Agreement will commence on April 1, 2023 (estimate). This Agreement shall expire on March 31, 2026 (estimate). For bidders attending the pre-bid site inspection, bring written questions to the inspection. Questions regarding this IFB must be submitted in writing by February 22, 2023. Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions via e-mail to esmeralda.rojo@dot.ca.gov.
