Renovation of a municipal facility in Redwood City, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids from firms that to provide Ballistic Lobby Glass Replacement Services Questions Due March 3, 2023, by 2:00 p.m. The term of the resulting agreement is anticipated to be effective from May 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023. California Law Requires Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation. All bidders for this solicitation, must meet the minimum DVBE participation requirement of 5% License Requirements: Local Business License and Contractor State License Board (CSLB) General B The Contractor will furnish all materials, tools, labor and equipment needed to remove existing Ballistic Lobby Glass and install new Ballistic Glass. Work shall be performed on weekends or evenings unless other arrangements have been made with the CHP Facilities Coordinator and the on-site contact. A work schedule will be established with the on-site contact to assure a minimum of disruption to essential state operations and Contractor's work. Contractor will attend a pre-construction meeting with the CHP Facilities Coordinator and the on-site contact, at which time the Contractor will provide a work schedule and any job-required submittals. The Contractor will provide the following services: A. Replace existing glass with new level 3 ballistic glass panels on top of existing counter in matching aluminum framing in lobby. B. Ballistic glass to be lightly tinted. Awarded vendor to provide glass tinting samples after award of contract for review and approval by the CHP Facilities Coordinator. C. Furnish all new framing materials to support the glass panels as necessary. D. Paint and finish the front face around windows, if needed. E. Contractor will ensure that the work area is kept clean and free of debris, as necessary, to maintain a safe working environment for staff. All debris, trash and packaging is to be disposed of off-site on a daily basis. F. All materials to be warrantied as per the manufacturer's warranty. Contractor to provide a one-year warranty on their workmanship.
