These bids will be for the furnishing of all labor and materials, and performing all the Work in accordance with the drawings and specifications for: AP2023 R2023-001 The project will include but not limited to the following major categories of work: Asphalt Overlays, Various Locations Bituminous Plant Mix (BM-2) 19695 TONS Patching (Partial Depth) 105 TONS Milling (transitions) 2200 SQUARE YARDS Temporary Pavement Marking 8.1 MILES Shouldering 103,906 LINEAR FEET TIME LIMIT: All work shall be completed between April 15 th and October 15, 2023. All equipment, materials and workmanship must be in accordance with the Standard Specifications for State Road and Bridge Construction of the Kansas Department of Transportation, 2015 Edition and all supplemental Specifications and Special Provisions included therein . (NOTE: The 2015 Kansas Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for State Road and Bridge Construction will not be provided as part of this contract.) Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond executed by corporations authorized to contract as surety in the State of Kansas and made payable to the Pottawatomie County Treasurer. The Bidder, to whom a Contract is awarded, will be required to furnish acceptable Performance and Statutory Bonds, each in the amount of the total contract price, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The right is reserved by the Owner to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity therein to determine the best responsible bid most suitable to the Owner and to approve the bonds. All persons awarded and/or entering into contracts with Pottawatomie County shall be subject to and required to comply with all applicable County, State, and Federal provisions pertaining to nondiscrimination, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action on public contracts. Bidders may bid BM-2 or may specify a state approved mix. Mix designs for an alternative mix shall be included with bid.
