Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Westmoreland, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The project will include but not limited to the following major categories of work: GRADING BRIDGE SURFACING SEEDING A pre bid meeting will not be held for this contract. TIME LIMIT: 150 Consecutive Calendar Days with a Calendar Completion Date of August 1, 2025. The Engineer shall decide any and all questions, which may arise as to the quality and acceptability of materials, work performed, rate of progress of work, interpretation of drawings and specifications, and all questions as to the acceptable fulfillment of the Contract on the part of the Contractor Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid bond executed by corporations authorized to contract as surety in the State of Kansas and made payable to the Pottawatomie County Treasurer. Bids will be received by Pottawatomie County, Kansas at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud. Bid will be received at the Public Works Office, 612 E. Campbell Street, Westmoreland, KS, at the EMS Building, 406 Miller Drive, Wamego, KS (temporary County Commission meeting location). Bids can either be mailed or hand delivered to Tim Eisenbarth at 612 E. Campbell Street or emailed to teisenbarth@pottcounty.org. Emailed bids shall not be considered submitted until the bidder receives a confirmation email. Bids received after said time will be returned to the bidder unopened The Bidder, to whom a Contract is awarded, will be required to furnish acceptable Performance and Statutory Bonds, each in the amount of the total contract price, in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The right is reserved by the Owner to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity therein to determine the best responsible bid most suitable to the Owner and to approve the bonds. All persons awarded and/or entering into contracts with Pottawatomie County shall be subject to and required to comply with all applicable County, State, and Federal provisions pertaining to nondiscrimination, equal employment opportunity, and affirmative action on public contracts.
