The Victoria Airport Authority on behalf of the funding partners (Victoria Airport Authority, Town of Sidney, and District of North Saanich) invites submissions (each a "Response") to this Request for Qualifications from experienced civil works contractors (each a "Respondent") interested in constructing the Beacon Avenue West Roundabout project. To facilitate improved access and manage traffic impact to Sidney and North Saanich, the VAA has committed to undertaking improvements to municipal roads and intersections. The Project generally involves constructing a multi-lane roundabout at the intersection of Beacon Avenue West and Galaran Road including the re-routing of Stirling Way towards the proposed roundabout. The work is located within the Town of Sidney and upon completion, the Town of Sidney shall assume responsibility for the ongoing maintenance and operation of this key municipal road TIMELINE: RFQ closed March 10, 2023; three (3) firms have prequalified. Invitation to bid to the prequalified firms closed April 14, 2023. Submissions are under review to award the contract. Further update spring 2023.
