For the following Contract: CONTRACT NO. 2022-6 FAIRLANE DRIVE SEWER IMPROVEMENTS Residential homes at 104 and 106 Fairlane share a 4-inch lateral that exits into a manhole in the roadway. This common lateral consistently backs up due to lack of fall and damaged pipe. Contractor will remove existing lateral and manhole, install two manholes and required sewer line in the roadway that would take flow for these homes, respectively. A certified check payable to the Butler Area Sewer Authority, or at bid bond executed by the bidder and a surety company approved by the Authority, in an amount equal to (10%) of the bid, shall bet submitted with each bid to guarantee the bidder's execution and performance of the contract, if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the bidder has failed to comply, or cannot comply, with any requirements set forth in the contract documents, or any applicable statues of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or any applicable municipal ordinances. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. All bidders shall comply with the Federal requirements for Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (PL 88-352), and with the State requirements for the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act (No. 1978-3), and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act as amended. Work under the contract is subject to the requirements of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (1961 August 15, PL 987, P.S. 165) and subsequent amendments and the Public Works Employment Verification Act (Act 127 of 2012) as amended. All contractors submitting bids may be required to submit a listing of past experiences of similar work verifying their qualifications for this type of project. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Insurance Certificates as well as Performance and Payment Bonds. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding. All questions shall be submitted in writing to the Authority.
