The Board of School Directors reserves the right to accept or reject all or any part of this bid, and to waive any informalities which, in its judgment, do not serve the best interests of the Board. All materials needed in maintenance service to be delivered in accordance with this agreement shall be "unused" and all materials used in the manufacture of items shall be "unused" and of first quality. Freight or other transportation and insurance charges are to be included in the bid. The Board will not honor payment for these charges added to the contract price. Bid prices must remain in effect at least sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening. Bid prices remaining in effect for thirty (30) days only will be rejected. All work under the contract shall be subject to the inspection of the School Board or their designated representative, and where in their opinion, the service is not in accordance with standard practice, or as required, they may order such work to be done at no additional cost to the School District. The contractor shall not sublet, sell, transfer, assign or otherwise dispose of the contract, or any portion thereof, or of his/her rights, title or interest therein, with the written consent of the owner. A Certified Check, Cashier's Check or Bid Bond in the amount of $1,000.00 of the contract will be required with this bid. All companies bidding must provide references on the enclosed sheet and Act 34 (REQUEST FOR CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK), Act 151, and FBI clearance for all employees that will be involved in maintenance services.
