The City of Las Cruces is seeking proposals for design and construction services for a new skate park in accordance with the specifications contained herein. Question Acceptance Deadline 03/16/2023 06:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online No Project Description The City requires Design-Build services for, programming, design and construction of New Skate Park included in this agreement as follows: The New Skate Park will be located within the East Mesa Public Recreational Complex on Camino Coyote Lane in Las Cruces. The new skate park will be operated by the City of Las Cruces Parks and Recreation Department on property leased from the Bureau of Land Management under NMNM 128496 and an approved Plan of Development. The Parks and Recreation Department is working with the Public Works Department in developing this project. The design of new skate park will be sensitive to the context of the site on which it will be located. Sustainable design features included in the initial design of the facility that will require consideration of site placement of the skate park; retaining existing watersheds; native lowirrigation plant materials; on-site rainwater retention systems; and extensive use of local, renewable, and recycled-content materials. The New Skate Park will be a dawn-to-dusk operated facility, open to skaters of all ages and abilities, with possible future expansion of hours to support sport-related programs/clinics, department recreational and youth program activities. The intent of this RFP is to solicit qualifications and a proposal for authorization of a single contract for Design-Build services for the Project.
