Per the owner, as of January 30, 2024, an architect has been selected. A timeline for general contractor bidding and construction has not been determined. Closed solicitation has been included below for reference. .................. This request for proposals concerns selection of an executive architectural consultant only. Sub-consultants shall be selected in consultation between the university and executive architect. A detailed scope of work for each phase will be negotiated with the selected professional. The executive architectural firm will be responsible for cost estimating. A third-party consultant will be hired by Capital Projects to conduct and provide pre-test documents, MEP design review, and commissioning at the end of the project. The AMO Physics Department, located within Physics Hall North and South is situated East ofthe Campanile Tower on Berkeleys Core Campus. The project scope is to renovate an existing laboratory, Physics South Room 133 and 141, for experimental atomic research. Scope includes but not limited to the information below. Room 133 (~790 sq. ft) The campus is committed to promoting and increasing participation of minority, women-owned, and disabled veteran business enterprises (MBE/WBE/DVBEs) in all purchasing and contract business. Through its selected general contractor, the campus would endeavor to provide qualified MBE/WBE/DVBEs with the maximum opportunity to participate as suppliers and subcontractors on all construction projects. To meet this commitment, the campus will encourage the selected general contractor to actively seek to and solicit bids from MBE/WBE/DVBE suppliers and subcontractors and expects its subcontractors to do the same. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
