Site work and renovation of a civil project in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
Upgrades to the Adam Beck Power Canal, which includes three underground tunnels, the 13.7 kilometre canal carved through the city of Niagara Falls diverts water from the Welland and Niagara rivers to the Sir Adam Beck (SAB) Power Complex, which includes the Sir Adam Beck I, and II generating stations as well as the SAB Pump Generating Station. The scope of work will include draining the Canal in 2022 and 2023 to undertake concrete rehabilitation, grouting, vegetation management, rock slope stabilization, and debris removal. The total project length is 13.7 km and 10.7 m deep. TIMELINE: This project is on hold. The Consultant complete a condition survey in 2017 and 2018 and recommended the scope of work. The project was deferred to post-2026 at which time it would be reviewed once again for potential rehabilitation.
