Renovation of a municipal facility in Penfield, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The Northeast Quadrant Landfill was operated from approximately 1975-1980 to provide solid waste disposal. The site was subsequently closed per the NYSDOH regulations at the time. The Landfill has been closed for greater than 30 years, but monitoring and maintenance is still performed by the County. This funding request is a response to the evaluation that was conducted to evaluate alternatives for improved landfill post-closure monitoring and maintenance as well as compatible long term uses for the landfill This project is in included in the Monroe County FY 2023-2028 CIP. As of February 22, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
