The Alleghany County Board of Commissioners, Alleghany County, NC, is soliciting Requests for Qualifications for Architectural/Engineering Services. The proposed project includes the following: To provide Design, Contract Administration and Construction Management for a series of renovations and improvements to the existing Alleghany County Courthouse Facility located at 12 N Main Street, Sparta, NC 28675. Such described renovations and improvements have been provided to Alleghany County in a previous study of the facility and are not part of this Request for Qualifications. Once submittals are reviewed, the facility study may be shared with the shortlisted firm(s) prior to any conducted interviews associated with the submittals if appropriate. Applicants should have extensive design knowledge and abilities, considerable construction management and contract administration experience and demonstrated attention to detail as it relates to addressing renovations and improvements associated with operational Governmental Facilities. Additionally, any planned design work should be in keeping with the building traditions associated with Alleghany County. Alleghany County may select a single firm for the project or may choose to select separate firms accordingly or make no selection at all. If a firm(s) is selected, the firm will be employed by the Alleghany County Board of Commissioners and will work in conjunction with the County Manager or his designee.
