Renovation of a mixed-use development in Ludington, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 5,600-square-foot educational facility.

Removal and Replacement of Approximately 5,600 Square Feet of Exisiting Metal Siding Summary The West Shore Educational Service District (ESD) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to provide interested contractors with sufficient information to enable them to prepare and submit proposals for the installation of metal siding on the West Shore ESD building. In general, the scope of work includes securing metal siding to the North and West sides of the building exterior and other miscellaneous work as deemed reasonable by the siding expert as well as but not limited to the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for the complete installation of the metal siding, as well as removal and disposal of the existing materials removed during the project. The scope of work required under this contract is more fully described below: Scope of Work. The Contractor shall: Provide personnel with adequate experience and training in steel siding installation. Ensure the installation of the siding shall be in accordance with the manufacturer's published instructions. Remove existing siding and/or trim, approximately 5,600 square feet. Remove air barrier beneath exterior surface if it is compromised. Advise if any additional structural work is necessary/recommended. At areas of work, install new backing as needed and replace air barrier as needed. Install new siding (approximately 5,600 square feet) and/or trim, along with necessary flashing, to ensure proper reconstruction of the building envelope. All new siding, trim, and flashing should match existing specifications. Metal stud framing above windows, where applicable, install batt insulation and densglass with gold coat sheathing to protect from moisture. Una-Clad UC-501, 24 gauge galvanized steel, Kynar 500/Hylar5000. See below for Technical Information Sheet All necessary caulking will be included. All construction equipment, construction debris, and similar will be removed from the site daily or properly safeguarded during non-business hours. Furnish all hoisting, lifting, scaffolding, and handling of all materials required to complete this work. Provide daily cleanup and removal of identifiable debris and rubbish from the site.
