Site work and paving for a road / highway in Peoria, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
As part of the City of Peoria's plan to address its aging infrastructure, a capital plan is being developed based on the Pavement Condition Index and other infrastructure analyzing technology. Wisconsin Avenue between McClure and Nebraska is a vital corridor to the East Bluff and ranks as an area in need of upgrading. This project will fund the reconstruction of that roadway from McClure to Republic and Kansas to Nebraska. The pavement from Republic to Kansas will be milled and overlaid. The city received a $3M Rebuild Downtowns & Main Streets Capital Grant from DCEO. Federal grant is COVID ARPA funds. The original project from Forrest hill to Republic has been separated into two project sheets. This project is in included in the City of Peoria FY 2023-2027 CIP. As of February 22, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
