Site work for a water / sewer project in Peoria, Illinois. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
A 2022 drainage study provided recommendations for improvements. The existing drainage system does not meet current design standards and pipes are in poor condition. The improvements will originate at Glen Avenue opposite of Martha Street. Improvements will extend south parallel and west of North Street to an outfall near the intersection of Wynnwood Drive and North Street. Storm sewer along Stongate Road also need replacement due to deterioration and insufficient capacity. This project is in included in the City of Peoria FY 2023-2027 CIP. As of February 22, 2023, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
